Saiga .308
Someone spent a lot of money turning a Saiga into a tactical main battle rifle. According to the owner/seller, they invested over $4,000 into the build, not including labor costs for the conversion. Everyone has their own dream build but with that amount of money, there are other platforms that might have been a better choice. Reality wise, who is going to buy a second hand Saiga in .308 for $4,000? (GRH)
‘The Writer,’ 1 of 3 surviving automata from the 18th century, is a programmable boy that uses quill and ink to write any 40 letters of custom text. This 240-year-old automaton uses all 6,000 of its parts to create just enough pressure for fluid, elegant writing, and is thought by some to be the first computer. Source

It has been a while since I last posted an art related post and I have to confess I quite missed it. Randomly looking on the World Wide Web, I have came across an incredible artist: Kasia Jackowska. She is a Zurich based artist and architect. She was passionate about drawing all her life, but started exhibiting her work for magazines just recently (2010). Her drawings are something special; they feel like they were taken out of fairy-tales. When I saw that she has mathematics represented like that I was mesmerized. Here are a couple of her drawings, visit her website for more beauty:
- Set Theory:
- Calculus and Vector Analysis:
- Topology and Knot Theory:
- Euclidean & Hyperbolic Geometry and Fractals:
What do you think about her art? Let me know in the comment box bellow. Also, if you know of any other incredible artists just share your knowledge because I would love to see/read more.
Have a great day. You can find me on Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, Twitter, Instagram and WeHeartIt. I will try to post there as often as possible.
Don’t forget that maths is everywhere! Enjoy! ~LThMath~
